Technical Details

Physical Properties

Chemical base: MS Polymer
Consistency: Paste-like
Density: Approx. 1.54g/ml
Service temperature: -40°C to +90°C

Curing & Bond

  • Skin formation: ~10-15 minutes (at 23°C/50% RH)
  • Curing rate: 2-3mm per 24 hours
  • Shore A hardness: ~50-55
  • Elongation at break: >300%

Durability

KA Infinity is engineered for exceptional long-term resilience. The formulation is 100% UV stable, meaning it will not yellow, crack, or become brittle when exposed to direct sunlight. It maintains high flexibility throughout its lifespan, accommodating structural movement without loss of adhesion. The non-shrinking nature ensures seals remain watertight and airtight in both interior and exterior environments.

Application Guide

Surface Preparation

  • Ensure all surfaces are clean and free from dust, oil, and loose debris.
  • While Infinity works on damp surfaces, for maximum bond strength, dry surfaces are preferred.
  • Highly porous surfaces may require priming for optimal results.
  • Carry out a small test bond on unfamiliar plastics or coatings before full application.

Application Method

  • Cut the tip of the cartridge and the nozzle to the required bead diameter.
  • Apply using a standard professional caulking gun.
  • For bonding: Apply in parallel beads or dots. Press the two surfaces together firmly.
  • For sealing: Apply a continuous bead along the joint. Tool the sealant within 10 minutes using a wet spatula or tool.

After Care & Paintability

KA Infinity can be over-painted immediately with most water-based paints. Solvent-based paints should be tested for compatibility as drying times may be extended. Clean tools and excess sealant immediately with white spirit or a suitable cleaner before the product cures. Once cured, the product can only be removed mechanically.

Application Guide

Surface Preparation

  • Ensure all surfaces are clean and free from dust, grease, and loose material
  • Remove any old sealant or adhesive residue completely
  • Non-porous surfaces should be degreased with a suitable solvent
  • Damp surfaces are acceptable, but free-standing water must be removed
  • Masking tape may be used to ensure a clean finish line

Procedure

  1. Cut the tip of the cartridge, being careful not to damage the thread
  2. Screw the nozzle onto the cartridge and cut the nozzle to the required bead width
  3. Place the cartridge into a professional caulking gun
  4. Apply the sealant steadily along the joint or as beads/dots for bonding
  5. Tool the sealant within 10 minutes using a wet spatula or finger for a smooth finish
  6. Remove masking tape immediately after tooling before skin forms
