KA ShieldCoat™ — Water Repellents
Deep-penetrating silane and silane/siloxane treatments for long-term hydrophobic protection of brick, stone, render and concrete.
KA ShieldCoat™ water repellents are engineered to reduce water absorption while maintaining substrate breathability, providing clear, invisible protection for masonry and concrete. The range includes a silane/siloxane blend for general façade protection and a premium silane treatment for maximum penetration and chloride resistance.
3.1 ShieldCoat™ Waterseal
ShieldCoat™ Waterseal is a silane/siloxane water repellent for brick, stone, render and concrete, reducing water absorption while maintaining breathability with a clear, invisible finish. Typical coverage is 4–8 m²/L depending on substrate porosity; apply by brush, roller, or low-pressure spray using a wet-on-wet technique for maximum penetration.
3.2 ShieldCoat™ Deep‑Penetrate
ShieldCoat™ Deep‑Penetrate is a premium silane treatment engineered for maximum penetration into concrete, stone and masonry, providing long-term hydrophobic protection that helps reduce chloride ingress and freeze-thaw damage. Typical coverage is 4–8 m²/L; substrates should be clean and dry and application is by brush, roller, or spray using a wet-on-wet technique.
Key Features
• Clear, invisible finish that maintains substrate appearance
• Breathable hydrophobic protection for masonry and concrete
• Wet-on-wet application for maximum penetration
