Mixing
KA Premium SLC should be mixed using a heavy-duty power drill and paddle. For each 25kg bag, add approximately 5.0–5.5 litres of clean water into a mixing vessel. Slowly add the powder while mixing continuously for at least 3 minutes until a smooth, lump-free consistency is achieved. Allow the mix to stand for 2 minutes, then briefly re-mix before application.
Application
Pour the mixed compound onto the prepared substrate. Use a steel trowel or spiked roller to spread the material to the required thickness (3mm to 50mm). The compound's high-flow properties will naturally seek a level surface. Work in continuous strips to maintain a 'wet edge' and ensure a seamless finish. Spiked rolling is highly recommended to remove any entrapped air and enhance the surface texture.
Drying Times
At 20°C, KA Premium SLC is typically walk-on hard within 2 to 4 hours. Floor coverings can usually be applied after 24 hours for thicknesses up to 10mm. For greater thicknesses, allow 24 hours per additional 10mm. Ensure the environment is well-ventilated but protected from direct sunlight and strong draughts during the initial curing phase to prevent rapid moisture loss and cracking.
Ratio: 25kg / 5.5L Water
